The HIV epidemic is spreading among young people – and they don’t even know it

Public health experts are calling for urgent changes to how young people are educated around HIV.

Deondre Moore was looking forward to a carefree night. Arm in arm with two of his best friends, he was an energetic freshman at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas at the time, and they had just arrived at XL, a club in downtown Houston. Moore was 19 years old and ready to dance.
